Varduhi Dadunts, Project Manager at “Harmony” NGO presents “Community initiatives with youth participation” implemented by her organization in Ashtarak. This project resulted in the creation of two non-governmental organizations and solutions to many community problems in that region. In an interview with Civilnet, Varduhi said that the idea of promoting youth volunteerism was born when she visited the United States as a Professional Fellows Program (PFP) fellow. In her internship, Varduhi studied experiences of American NGOs in involving youth in solving local community problems.

In the fall 2014, as a PFP fellow, Varduhi Dadunts participated in a five-week professional internship at the Pacific Asia Affairs Council youth NGO in Hawaii. During her internship in the United States, Varduhi developed the “Activating Youth for Civil Society” project to expand young people’s involvement in the community life in Armenia.
